LARAG press release on news fascist National Front are standing in Whitefoot by election in Lewisham on 13th September:

'The NF is a neo-nazi group with a history of violence, that admires Hitler. The real aim of the politics of fascism is clear – Hitler’s Nazis murdered over 6 million Jewish, Roma, Lesbian and Gay people and others.

The Fascist National Front openly call for an all white Britain. This policy not only  would have to be enforced using  violence but encourages violence against the black and Asian communities. It has  been shown that increased fascist activity in areas is associated with an increased level of racist attacks.  Stephen Lawrence was one of a number of young black member to be murdered in an area of South London where the BNP had its book shop, spreading its message of racist hatred.

Fascists  like the National Front are more dangerous than ever today as they are trying to win votes. The vast majority of Londoners oppose them and must use their vote to stop the National Front, BNP and all fascists, just   as the people of  Lewisham   physically stopped them  Lewisham 30 years ago!

That is why, as part of the national campaign, Unite Against Fascism, LARAG will be getting the truth out about the NF and urging local people to use their vote. Join with us, make a difference and stop the politics of race hate.'
