A distinguished panel of speakers will discuss the recent hysteria over the niqab, the rise of Islamophobia and its implications for the anti-racist movement.

Prof. Tariq Ramadan is Professor of Islamic Studies. He is currently Senior Research Fellow St Antony’s College (Oxford) and at Lokahi Foundation (London). He is also President of the European think tank : European Muslim Network (EMN) in Brussels.

Maleiha Malik is a lecturer in the Kings College London School of Law, specialised on anti-discrimination law.

Lee Jasper is the Secretary of NAAR and the senior Policy Advisor to the Mayor of London on Equalities and Policing.
